The competition has provided the foundation to drive the development process from the germ of an idea to a fully functioning working prototype, subjected to destructive testing by Sold Secure.
Input received throughout the process has helped to refine the design to fit a broad range of bike geometry, particularly helpful was the opportunity to gain the opinions of reformed bike thieves.
Being announced as the winner at the awards ceremony, hosted by Bikeworks in London on the 9th July, secured the investment required to commercialise the product.
